Report: AC Milan want Thiago Silva return
Silva represented Milan between 2009 and 2012 before moving to PSG, where he has made more than 150 appearances over the course of four seasons.
The 31-year-old remains a key figure in Paris, but his contract will expire in the summer of 2018 and according to Tuttomercatoweb, Milan will attempt to bring the defender back to Italy at the end of the season.
Silva, who is a 59-time Brazil international, made 45 appearances for PSG last season as the French giants retained their Ligue 1 crown in addition to triumphing in both the Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue.
MONTELLA: "THE TEAM MUST PLAY WITH GREATER HUNGER
The red and black manager spoke to Milan TV and in front of the press in the usual press conference ahead of Sampdoria
Vincenzo Montella is ready for this important game against Sampdoria, a match that the red and black boss said "important to prove who we really are". These are the words the AC Milanmanager said to Milan TV and the other journalists at the press conference in Milanello.
SAMP
"They have changed a lot of players since last season when I was there: it's a really well built team. They are very good in the defensive phase, and have important players upfront".
YOUR EXPECTATIONS FROM TOMORROW'S MATCH
"I don't want to see the players sit back during the game. Other than technical-tactical aspects which can be secondary, I expect greater hunger and responsibility from the boys".
UDINESE
"The team was disappointed after the match. This is a group of professional players that must be more self confident. We analysed the match against Udinese. We could have played better even if the result highlighted the negative aspects of our match, we have shown some good things and surely deserved more. They played very defensive football, we hade some difficulties building up the play".
SUBSTITUTIONS AGAINST UDINESE
"When you lose you are always wrong. We are at the beginning of the season and some players are still not 100% fit. We are used to seeing Bonaventura play always great matches but we must accept if he plays one game below expectations. Antonelli's injury changed our strategy".
FACE TO FACE WITH THE TEAM
"I spoke with the team this week, and I received answers from the boys".
THE TEAM LACKS CONTINUITY "This team needs to improve with work and tactical knowledge. We need time. We have done something positive also last Sunday against Udinese. Unfortunately mistakes are more visible".
PERSONALITY
"I am used to hearing that we lack personality. I think that the project we are working on can actually give us more confidence".
SINGLE PLAYERS
"Sosa? He played a great match but then he was tired. Calabria? He is a player we have decided to keep. We have 5 players for only 2 places available on the wings. He is young and can play different roles, therefore he can surely be very useful to the team. He can and must improve, he lacks a bit of continuity in the 90 minutes. He is a great player to play counter-attack, but we should let him grow".
PLAYERS THAT ARE CERTAIN TO MAKE IT IN THE STARTING BIRTH?
"Everybody here must prove they deserve to play, starting from training. When things are not going as expected, players with more experience are the more criticised. The boys know it".
SET PIECES
"Many matches are decided by set pieces. Sunday we got very close to scoring a goal from a set piece. We should have done better. It's a pity we didn't manage to score, but I am sure that with training we will improve".
THE GOAL IS TO CLIMB UP IN THE TABLE
"After two defeats in a row we need to climb up the table, and we will do wverythin we can to win Friday and Tuesday against Lazio. This is why I want greater hunger and desire".

Montella wants 'anger, pride and responsibility' from stuttering Milan
AC Milan coach Vincenzo Montella was not impressed by his side's efforts against Udinese and is expecting a reaction on Friday.
Vincenzo Montella is expecting his AC Milan side to display "anger, pride and responsibility" when they take on Sampdoria on Friday.
Montella's first three Serie A games at the helm have resulted in just three points with last Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to Udinese clearly still troubling the former Italy striker.
Ahead of the trip to Genoa to face his previous employers, he told reporters at a news conference: "I do not want to see players who accept the trend of the game.
"I expect anger, pride and responsibility, in addition to the technical and tactical aspects, which are secondary.
"No-one is untouchable in this team and they all need to show they deserve a place, starting in training. When things do not go well, the players of greater experience are always the most criticised.
"[But] After two defeats in a row we need to get some points, and we will do everything to get them on Friday and Tuesday against Lazio."
Montella reportedly read the riot act to his players following the weekend defeat at San Siro but refused to divulge what was said in the dressing room.
"Was I harsh on the squad? I won't confirm or deny it, there are some things I never say publicly," he added.
"Some things are said to the team in private. I'm very honest with the players.
"The team was disappointed after the game. This is a group of professionals who should be more aware of their qualities.
"I've seen a reaction but it'll take pride to face this situation and wear this shirt."
