BROCCHI DECIDES TO LEAVE MILAN BUT BERLUSCONI REPORTEDLY TELLS HIM TO WAIT UNTIL TUESDAY SO HE CAN TRY TO CONVINCE THE CHINESE TO KEEP CRISTIAN

Big news arriving from Italy as it’s reported in numerous sources that Brocchi has informed Silvio Berlusconi that he doesn’t want the Milan job but the President is still trying to convince the Chinese to keep Cristian.
Milan are expected to announce a new coach by the end of the week and it seemed to be a ‘race’ between Cristian Brocchi, Marco Giampaolo and a foreign option in the form of Frank de Boer.
However, according to Sky Italia, Sportmediaet and ANSA among others, Brocchi has informed Milan and club President Silvio Berlusconi of his decision to step aside and let his contract with the club expire (it ends in four days).
Mediaset suggests that Brocchi doesn’t believe that there are no ideal conditions for him to work and move forward with Milan. It appears that the former midfielder has an offer from Brescia and could pursue that opportunity in Serie B after several years in the youth sector of il Diavolo.
A few hours after the news broke that Brocchi had decided to leave, Milannews.it and Sky Italia reported that Berlusconi reached out to the 40-year-old and asked him to wait a bit more with his decision, at least until Tuesday as by then he’s expected to talk to the Chinese again and he hopes he can convince them to keep the man who replaced Sinisa Mihajlovic mid-season.
If Brocchi is out then this most likely leaves departing Empoli boss Giampaolo as the leading choice. A decision should arrive soon as the first day of training at Milanello is on July 7th.

Is Brocchi the answer for Milan?
